Since 1983, the Oregon Nurses Foundation (ONF) has supported and advanced the profession of nursing through three key areas of focus: Nursing Education Scholarships, Workforce Assistance, Nursing Retention programs.
The current healthcare and nursing workforce crisis, brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, has highlighted the need for new and innovative approaches to addressing issues that face the nursing profession. To that end, ONF is launching a grant program to support innovative nursing research, quality improvement programs, and practice change initiatives.
Deadlines and Process:
- Applications are reviewed at the regular ONF Board meetings
- Completed form is required for consideration
- Amount of up to $5000 may be awarded
- Please include scope of project, budget, objectives, and timeline with application
Types of Awards:
- Project grants
- Research grants
- Event sponsorship
Awards will be made for requests that are in alignment with ONF’s three key priorities:
- Nursing Education
- Nursing Workforce Assistance
- Nursing Retention Programs
Priority will be given to:
- Applicants that demonstrate innovation, address healthcare inequities, and promote interprofessional collaboration
- Non-profit organizations, particularly those which do not have regular funding
